Supra has for over 2 years tried to develop the ultimate speaker cable, the result became Sword Excalibur.

"The goal has been to not compromise on anything, everything should be the best but still affordable and of course manufactured in Sweden. Bifilar wound litz conductors, PE insulation, twisted and shielded for minimal interference, CNC-milled cable splitter with ground connection, XL-Annorum ground conductor, solid copper connectors with rhodium plating."

The crimp contacts are specially designed for Excalibur, the leader is screwed into the crimp body (like an F-connector) for maximum bending strength. The stripped Litz wires are then crimped mechanically for a perfect and airtight cable connection. The contact body is equipped with an M6 connection, allowing for any connection with rhodium-plated spades or banana plugs. The ground connection with XL annular conductor is standard 30cm and also equipped with custom-made and rhodium-plated Combicon connectors.

Supra has previously stated without modesty that the standard Sword is one of the best cables available, regardless of price or manufacturer. Sword Excalibur takes a few more steps towards near-total transparency, still the only word that accurately describes this patented "high-end" speaker cable.

"The secret is the construction with bifilar wound Litz conductors. The cable's structure consists of 24 separately insulated strands per conductor (two per cable), where 12 are wound in a clockwise spiral and the remaining 12 counterclockwise. Through this ingenious orientation, the two conductor pairs operate in what is called the "magnet zero", i.e., the counter-wound strands cancel each other's own inductance (magnetic effect)."

An additional advantage is that the skin effect is minimized, i.e., the tendency of the current (signal) to want to go closer to the surface of the conductors at high frequencies, and not least, the separate placement of each conductor completely stops the spontaneous current jumps between the conductors in the cables that cause time-delaying effects. For you as a customer, this means a cable that does not dampen the music's fast transients, a cymbal sounds like a cymbal should, a grand piano's attack likewise, and the superior timing contributes to a soundstage in three dimensions that, in a correctly set up HiFi system, is incredibly true to the original on the record being played.

"Something that is normal in quality recorded music that is not compressed in the same way as pop/hit music made for radio/streaming is that each instrument and voice phrases (emphasizes) different parts of the music. It is hardly noticeable in simple equipment connected with supplied cables of inferior quality. But already with the same equipment, a noticeable step forward in sound quality is achieved with higher quality cabling. If you have an expensive HiFi setup, we would argue that Sword should be regarded with the same relevance for your system's performance as any of its other components. Do not replace, for example, your speakers until you have tried a demo unit of Supra Sword Excalibur from your local dealer. The Sword is sold only terminated, why? Due to the special construction, the termination is critical (in other words, it's not something you do yourself!). The termination is done with strong contact pressing, oxygen-tight so that the materials are joined in a way that closely resembles welding. The cable is delivered in a black wooden box. The termination includes both spade and banana Supra Rhodium-plated CombiCon connectors. Both banana and spade are included so that you are not limited in future upgrades of electronics or speakers.
