Supra Sword Excalibur IXLR Rhodium

Supra Sword Excalibur IXLR Rhodium is a special version of Sword-IXLR with rhodium-plated connectors.

Supras absolute best signal cable with rhodium-plated XLR connectors. Plating with rhodium is a completely different process than gold plating. Gold plating is a relatively simple process while rhodium plating is difficult and expensive, but it also provides better conductive properties. The cable is based on the same patented principle as all Sword cables, a low-inductance bifilar-wound Litz construction. The concept provides low interference pickup and, together with our most effective foil shield, offers very good protection against electrical and magnetic fields. Just like its predecessor, the phase-shifting reactance is extremely small, leaving only a very low, phase-linear resistance that allows all tones to be exactly as intended during recording, mixing, and mastering.

Sword is carefully assembled by Supras experienced assemblers in Ljungskile, Sweden. Scaling, stripping of Litz wire, soldering.
and testing is done manually to ensure the absolute best quality. A craftsmanship that Supra is proud of.

A word about the cable construction

Each conductor contains twelve individually lacquer-insulated strands in two layers. The six strands of the innermost layer are spun in one direction at a steep angle to be exactly the same length as the six strands of the outer layer, which are spun in the opposite direction. The layers are separated by a PE insulation, with the inner layer spun around a fiberglass core for mechanical stability. On the outside, separately shielded with our fine foil shield, which prevents interference from contaminating the signal. The result is a lightning-fast, phase-correct cable that allows the signal to pass without being affected in any direction.
