Tonarm – RB220
The new RB220 tonearm introduces revolutionary technology. With Rega's own developed bearings with ultra-low friction and zero play (patent application submitted), these are housed in a new, stiffer, and lighter bearing housing. An automatic adjustment of the needle pressure eliminates the need for manual setting, making the tonearm essentially "plug and play" – all you need to do is balance the arm. The new housing also features an integrated arm clamp and uses Rega's latest custom-designed aluminum arm tubes.

Central warehouse
Planar 2 is equipped with a new 11 mm self-aligning brass bearing (patent application submitted), which provides an improved fit and reduces the load on the bearing. This prevents the transfer of unwanted energy and enhances sound quality.

Skirting board
The high-gloss, acrylic-laminated plinth is both stiffer and aesthetically improved, with an ergonomically placed switch. At launch, there are two finish options: glossy black and glossy white.

Motor
A new 24-volt motor with low noise levels and minimal vibration, along with a new circuit board design, ensures quiet and stable operation.

Plate
The new 10 mm thick plate made of "Optiwhite" float glass offers improved precision and performance.
