The amplifier is based on the popular NR1200 model but has undergone significant improvements, including a change in appearance. The "S" in the product name also signals that it is a Slimline amplifier with a slimmer profile, ideal for fitting seamlessly into your TV stand. By focusing on two amplification channels instead of five, seven, or nine, Marantz has been able to fine-tune the circuits in a more optimal way.
