Magnetar UDP-900 MKII is the flagship model, designed for those who demand the absolute best in both picture and sound. Dual ESS 9038PRO DACs, an entirely new video processor, noise-damped mechanics, and a dual-layer aluminum chassis make it a reference player in every respect.
The audio platform features two power supplies, one for the digital section and one for the analog section, resulting in cleaner signal paths and lower noise. The dual ESS 9038PRO DACs support resolutions up to PCM 768 kHz and DSD512 via PC USB, while the dedicated HDMI audio output features TMDS retiming to eliminate jitter. In addition to balanced XLR and gold-plated RCA outputs, there is also a 7.1-channel pre-out for external home theater amplifiers.
The updated video processor optimizes color, contrast, and noise reduction, and the player handles UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, SACD, DVD-Audio, and CD, with support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X. UDP-900 MKII received the EISA Award 2025-2026.
