Line Magnetic LM-34iA is an integrated tube amplifier equipped with the highly regarded EL34 tubes in the output stage. In addition to its three line inputs, it also includes a dedicated preamp input. This feature allows the signal to go directly to the stage without being affected by the volume adjustment, providing a more pure power amplifier function. Consequently, the amplifier has an impressive output power of 40 watts per channel thanks to the four EL34 tubes in the output. Additionally, a remote control is included, something that is not always provided with all tube amplifiers, as well as a protective top cover for the tubes.

The amplifier uses dual 12AU7 line tubes and a 12AX7 tube in the input to handle the signal and rectification. In the output, there are dual EL34 tubes per side that operate in a push-pull configuration and provide a power of 40 watts per channel. Tube-based amplifiers have the advantage of being able to deliver powerful sound before entering compression at high volumes, which gives a more forgiving sound character than transistor amplifiers.
A useful feature is the ability to adjust the bias for each power tube individually. A simple meter shows optimal settings, and there is also a switch if you want to use KT-88 tubes instead. This gives you the flexibility to tailor the sound to your preferences.

The quality of the transformers is crucial for the sound reproduction in a tube amplifier, and the LM-34iA uses specially designed EI transformers with a wide bandwidth. You can also adjust the impedance to match your speakers, either 4 or 8 ohms.
This amplifier is built with care and uses high-quality components, including RealCap capacitors and an ALPS volume potentiometer. The connection is made with point-to-point wiring. Additionally, it has a Soft Start function that protects the tubes at startup by gradually increasing the current during the first 30 seconds.

Finally, users have the option to upgrade the sound by replacing the included Shuguang tubes with higher quality options such as NOS tubes. This provides an additional opportunity to fine-tune the sound and get even more out of this already impressive tube amplifier.
