Designed for modern speaker technology

Advances in speaker technology, with more powerful speaker drivers, place new demands on amplifiers. Higher power handling and sensitivity of modern speakers enable impressive SPL (sound pressure level) and deeper bass in increasingly lighter and more compact enclosures. At the same time, these drivers require extremely low noise and minimal distortion to deliver crystal-clear sound without distracting "hiss." With the 2000AS2 HV, ICEpower has combined enormous power – up to 2x 2000 W at 4 ohms – with outstanding sound quality, thanks to the revolutionary Class D ICEedge technology and an advanced, single-stage PFC power supply.

The 2000AS2 HV is a stereo channel amplifier module delivering 2000 W per channel at 4 ohms and 1400 W at 8 ohms, with a maximum voltage swing of 149 V. This power makes it ideal for applications requiring large voltage swings and high peak power, such as self-powered line arrays, subwoofers, and high-performance HiFi systems. The regulated power supply ensures consistent performance worldwide, regardless of voltage variations (100–240 V, 50–60 Hz), and the module complies with ErP and Energy Star standards for energy savings.

Flexibility and reliability

As part of the ICEpower AS series, the 2000AS2 HV shares the same electrical interface as its predecessors (such as the 700AS and 1200AS), making it easy to scale power within product families by swapping modules. With upgraded transformers, output filters, and protection systems, the module is optimized for reliability and efficient heat dissipation – crucial for live sound where speakers are often placed in demanding environments. Features like monitor outputs for temperature, voltage, and current, as well as a DC hanger bus to power additional amplifiers, make it extremely versatile.

With a noise level of only 38 µV (A-weighted) and a THD+N of 0.001% at 1 kHz and 10 W, the 2000AS2 HV ensures that nothing but the musician's intended sound is amplified. The module also supports 70V/100V constant voltage lines for commercial audio applications and is an excellent choice for rack-mounted stereo amplifiers.
