Aune AS5 - Active Speakers
Aune AS5 is a pair of compact active speakers featuring a silk-dome tweeter mounted concentrically in a 5.5-inch mid/bass driver - a coaxial design. The result is a point-source speaker with perfect phase coherence and a sharp, stable stereo image regardless of where you sit in relation to the speakers. Each speaker is driven separately by its own Class AB amplifier with an analog crossover, so there is no master/slave arrangement and the channels behave exactly the same.
AS5 is for anyone who wants studio-grade clarity and control on a desk or in a smaller room, without needing a separate amplifier. The bio-fiber cone delivers fast bass transients and clear midrange, while a shorting ring in the magnetic circuit keeps distortion low even at high dynamics. The hyperbolic bass-reflex port smooths the airflow, allowing the bass to breathe cleanly without audible port noise. The rear panel features bass controls, RCA and XLR inputs, and a power socket with a replaceable fuse, making it easy to adapt the sound to the room and expand with additional channels.
Supplied as a pair, with one speaker per box, along with power cables, rubber feet and a quick-start guide.
