Aune AR9000 is Aune's flagship open-back over-ear headphones, featuring a specially developed 50 mm dynamic driver and an acoustic design inspired by high-end loudspeakers. The result is a relaxed, detailed and lively presentation with a soundstage that breathes and opens up, without sacrificing bass impact.
The diaphragm is an omni-stack carbon diaphragm (OSCD) with an uninterrupted long-fiber structure without cross-weave or breaks, stacked at precise angles and zone-specifically heat-treated for the correct damping. Its specific stiffness surpasses that of traditional ceramic, metal and coated polymer diaphragms, delivering exceptionally clean and clear reproduction. Power comes from a patented linear magnetic circuit with constant flux, which, with up to 4 mm of linear excursion, provides ample dynamic headroom and sub-bass that can be physically felt in the body.
The suspension is a new system made of an ultra-damping material with asymmetrical variable thickness and radial reinforcements, keeping resonances and dynamic compression in check for ideal, piston-like diaphragm movement. Behind the diaphragm is a patented acoustic absorption and diffusion structure with carefully calculated open and closed cavities, which smooths the midrange and treble and creates a more spacious soundstage.
With a 43-ohm impedance and 102 dB sensitivity, the AR9000 is easy to drive and works well directly from a portable DAC, while a better stationary chain clearly brings out more of its potential. The cable is a 1.6 m OCC cable with silver plating and interchangeable connectors.
