Hello everyone!
"There has been a little pause since the last blog post and quite a bit has happened with new products and tests in magazines. You haven't missed that Quadrals Rodan speakers from the Aurum Series received reference status in the September issue of Hifi & Musik, have you? Very pleasant reading, we know they deliver, all the way from the smallest Galan to the largest of them all, 'Titan'."
A product that we have just received is the new PSUs for Aune X1s Pro and X8, so now everyone can upgrade their devices for additional performance. This product will be available in the shop this week.
Nuprime CDT-10
"A handful of new products from Nuprime will arrive before the end of the year, with the eagerly awaited CD transport CDT-10 being the first out."
CDT-10 is completely redesigned compared to CDT-8, but they have one thing in common, the laser and the drive itself as it is top class. Everything else is completely new, new power circuit with filtering technology borrowed from Evolution, better shielding, more delicate handling of the signal, thus finer circuits, shorter signal path, minimization of vibration, etc.
As CDT-8, it can upsample the signal to 768kHz or DoP256. Outputs: coax, optical, aes/ebu, and hdmi i2s.
Streaming and amplification
Next in line are some music streamers from Nuprime, 2 pieces with slightly different focus and price range. First, we have the Omnia S1 with Android as the base so you can run apps, of course, it has HDMI out. The S1 does not have a built-in DAC but is a pure streamer with digital outputs, including I2S connection where it can output insane resolutions like 768K and DSD1024. The S1 is not app-controlled in the sense that it has its own app but is visible as a DLNA server on the network, so the choice of which app to use for streaming is free. However, we highly recommend BubbleUPnP, which is easy to use and allows you to stream Tidal to the S1.
S1 is for those who focus on high-resolution music and belong in the main system.
Then we have the app-controlled WR-1 with Bluetooth, Airplay, Spotify Connect, Tidal, etc. The WR-1 is a multi-zone streamer that is controlled via Nuprime's own Omnia app. It supports re-streaming so you can, for example, connect audio via optical and send the sound to other devices (if you have several), as well as play YouTube from the tablet and stream it throughout the home. The WR-1 has both digital output and a built-in DAC so you can get the sound out analog.
With WR-1, you can also retrieve music from S1 and play it through WR-1, all in all a device that can do a lot and unfortunately we can't fit everything here :)
In addition to these gentlemen, a new "smaller" headphone amplifier, new preamp and power amp in the 9 series will be sold alongside the current 9 series. Additionally, a new integrated amplifier with built-in Omnia streaming circuit.
