NuPrime Evolution DAC-2

NuPrime Evolution DAC-2 uses dual ESS Technology 32-bit DAC ESS9038Q2M to decode left and right channels independently and to improve channel separation and reduce overall noise. It supports nine digital inputs and two analog inputs for complete system flexibility. The power circuit uses C-Core transformers to meet the highest performance requirements of the NuPrime Evolution series. PSRC IC chip provides sample rate up/down conversion from PCM 44.1kHz to PCM 768kHz and DSD64 to DSD512.

C-Core transformer and large capacitor bank.

The filtered AC is then fed to the AC power supply which uses C-Core transformers which have less leakage flux than conventional toroidal transformers. The stainless steel enclosures for the power supply provide shielding to minimize interference from transformer noise affecting other sensitive circuits.

A large capacitor bank (about 60,000 uF) using specialized capacitors provides the analog and digital circuits with abundant and stable current.

A reference class preamplifier.

The EVO DAC-2 includes a reference-class preamp that uses Nisshinbo Micro Devices operational amplifier MUSES8820 and MUSES72320V electronic volume as its preamp circuit architecture. The MUSES8820 is optimized for high-end audio equipment and produces the finest sound quality. Furthermore, the MUSES72320 a 2-channel electronic volume control designed with advanced circuitry and layout for advanced audio applications. It has low noise and distortion characteristics and uses a resistor circuit for very linear volume control. Together, these components make the EVO DAC-2 an exceptional preamp capable of producing a high-quality sound that accurately captures the nuances and details of the sound source.

Functions

NuPrime PSRC IC chip provides sample rate up/down conversion processing, from PCM 44.1kHz to PCM 768kHz and DSD64 to DSD512 (including PCM to/from DSD).

A proprietary NuPrime implementation capable of decoding DoP formats via coaxial and optical inputs (to support NuPrime source and server devices capable of outputting DoP streaming in addition to S/PDIF).

Output level variable or fixed mode.

Analog output channel setting (both outputs can be set to Right, Left, R + L or L + R)

Adjusting the brightness of the display.

USB Asynchronous transfer mode.
