Advance Paris XL 500 EVO SILENT

The XL-500 speaker cabinet design features three separate volumes to support bass, midrange, and treble frequencies independently. These volumes are aligned on the same vertical plane to maintain temporal phase and avoid the need for phase correction circuits in the filtering process. Additionally, each speaker is isolated in its own box, preventing vibrations from interfering with each other and providing clear sound restitution across all frequencies.

The construction of such a cabinet requires meticulous attention to detail and the use of high-quality raw materials, such as composite panels made of wood powder and a synthetic binder. These panels offer superior acoustic performance compared to traditional panels like OSB or PP. Each cabinet enclosure undergoes rigorous testing to ensure tightness and is fitted with damping materials that effectively treat standing waves. The positioning, density, and volume of the acoustic foam used is determined by the model's designers.

The XL-500's speakers were developed to meet strict specifications, with a 12"/307mm woofer featuring a 49.5mm voice coil for dynamic and responsive sound across all music types. The 20cm mid and boomer have high-density linen paper cones protected by a film for optimal lightness and rigidity. The ribbon tweeter offers detailed treble rendering without harshness and provides transparency and clarity.

Advance Paris developed a precise and rigorous filtering technique for the XL-500's crossover, which respects both the electrical and acoustic phase. The use of high-quality components such as air chokes, polypropylene capacitors, and precision ceramic resistors, along with non-radiating component positioning and judicious cutting frequencies, ensures optimal performance.

The XL-500's specifications include a 12'' (30cm) woofer, 8'' (20cm) midrange, and a ribbon tweeter measuring 12.5 x 3.5 cm.
